KANVA TRADING was incorporated in the year 1978, founded by Mr.M.R.Vijayaraghavan who had extensive experience in servicing and marketing earth moving equipments and construction machineries, holding key positions in a multinational company. Mr.M.V.Vasudevan , Son of Mr.M.R.Vijayaraghavan joined him in the year 1979 after his graduation in Science and assisted him in promoting this company .

The company started initially with marketing of concrete mixers, chain pulley blocks, Road rollers and after extensive market survey/demands ,expanded the business to various range of construction equipments and allied products.

Mr.Vasudevan has taken over the entire responsibility of the company as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer after the service tenure of Mr.M.R.Vijaraghavan and promoted the company by inducting new business ventures.Mrs Padma Vasudevan is ably supporting Vasudevan in running the company and overall management.

KANVA TRADING was one of the few marketing extended arm for companies like M/S Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers ltd, M/S Britannia Engineering Ltd both from west Bengal and Govt of India enterprise and have concluded contracts with both Govt and Private customers worth a few billions. KANVA , having contacts in the construction field also handled material handling equipment and started selling to all the power plants. Whilst in the power plant industry ,KANVA was made responsible to handle SS expansion joints and pipe supports in the power sector area and was representing M/ S Carpenter and Patterson and M/S Vokes Ltd both from the UK .It is worth mentioning under fierce competition from Japan and Italy for these products KANVA TRADING concluded many contracts.

In the year 1984 KANVA ventured into manufacture of shuttering and scaffolding equipments on a outsource factory. It had good client list like M/s Larsen & Toubro Ltd, M/S Gammon India Ltd, M/S Voltas international Ltd, M/S Hiranandani to name a few. Whilst marketing support for all the above, KANVA went into the area of concept marketing and is proud to mention that some of the products sold were the first of its kind. In the year 1996 the real estate started to show up and KANVA was made the only extended arm for marketing ready mixed concrete and representing a giant M/S Larsen & Toubro Ltd and with one plant to begin with, KANVA was associated and made responsible to establish the market potential and then establishing plants all over the south including the one at Ahmedabad.

Please note: Kanva Trading changed to SPROCS-FORMWORKS (1995) by Mr.M.V.Vasudevan,Founder and Mrs.Padma Vasudevan, wife of Mr.M.V Vasudevan Founder and former Chief Executive Officer of the company, has taken over the reins of the company SPROCS FORM WORKS , post the untimely demise of Mr. Vasudevan in 2018, as the CEO of the company and manages the entire operations of the company.
